The CNY CHANCE Program

About CHANCE:

Central New York Centralized Housing Assistance and Network for Community Engagement (CHANCE) is a housing initiative operated by the Housing Services Team at the Housing and Homeless Coalition of Central New York (HHC). CHANCE was established through funding from New York State’s Child Poverty Reduction Initiative (CPRI), which supports communities in addressing the impacts of child poverty. Onondaga County/City of Syracuse was selected as one of the communities to participate in this initiative, providing HHC with the opportunity to address housing instability as a significant barrier to family stability, economic security, and long-term opportunity.

Program Mission Statement

The CNY CHANCE Program empowers community agency partners with a user-friendly platform while supporting property owners in operating profitable rental units and breaking down barriers to stable housing for our neighbors.
